Cedar Street, Sept 6th – 14th (Daytime): OPEN TO PEDESTRIANS & MOTORISTS with intermittent lane closures between Second and Fifth Avenues while crews continue grading, placing sidewalk, installing pavers, street furniture, and striping.
Cedar Street, Sept 10th – 11th (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM): CLOSED TO MOTORISTS; OPEN TO PEDESTRIANS between Second and Fifth Avenues for asphalt paving of the roadway. The evening road closure will impact all blocks between Second & Fifth Avenues. Heavy truck traffic will extend onto adjacent streets and cause short-term congestion. Paving is a huge project milestone and we are grateful it is a few days ahead of schedule!
Monday night at 6:00 pm: crews will pave two-inches on the newly constructed road base, full-width along the entire work zone.
Tuesday morning at 6:00 am: Cedar Street will be re-opened to motorist while work continues.
Tuesday night at 6:00 pm: crews will pave the final two-inches of asphalt on top of the previously paved area to complete the work.
Wednesday morning at 6:00 am: Cedar Street will be reopened to motorist while work continues.
First Ave, Sept 6th – 14th: CLOSED TO MOTORISTS; OPEN TO PEDESTRIANS from Church Ave north through the Main Street intersection while crews proceed with replacing the sewer transmission main within the roadway. Businesses can be accessed from the sidewalks which will not be impacted by this work
